The Mobeye Argos:

get ready in three steps

The set-up of the Mobeye Argos is extremely simple and requires 3 simple steps.

Step 1: insert a SIM card
Insert a SIM card (subscription or prepaid) of any provider.

Step 2: insert the batteries
Insert the four 3,0 V lithium batteries (CR123). These batteries are included in the packaging.

Step 3: enter the telephone number(s)
Program at least one telephone number to which you want the alarm system to send the messages. This step is done by entering the menu function and numbers via the keypad using the installation code. In order to have an international phone call, your SIM card should allow ‘roaming’ calls. Enter the number in the format ‘0031..’ where the 31 in this example is the country code of the receiving telephone number.

Check the settings
After the three steps, it is advised to check the settings and the working of the system. You check this by sending the list of settings to your telephone by SMS. In this way you are sure the SIM card works.
The Mobeye Argos offers many possible settings. The supplied manual helps you to discover the device and guides you through all functions.

Explanation SIM card
SIM cards come in a many varieties. The Mobeye Argos needs a card that can call and send SMS text messages. GPRS data traffic is not needed. The SIM card needs a ‘normal’ micro size, no mini- or nano (or in combination with a SIM adapter). The Mobeye Argos accepts both a prepaid and a subscription card. Take care, if you use a prepaid, that the credit is sufficient. We advise you to use a card that can be charged via the internet and informs you via mail about the credit and validity.
